Firefly Season comes to Kansai!

Do you enjoy watching fireflies?
Before coming to Japan, I did not know much about fireflies and the season when they would appear.
In Japan, the firefly season falls around May to July, starting from the South (Okinawa) to the North (Hokkaido).
My first firefly viewing experience was up in the mountains on the way to Kibune Jinja in Kyoto!
I was surprised to find that I couldn't capture any good photos with my phone camera, given the many beautiful firefly photos I saw online.
Upon asking my Japanese friends, I learnt that you will need a professional camera in order to take good shots of the fireflies (^^);

The firefly season has arrived earlier than usual this year, and the best viewing time is between 8-10pm when its dark.
