Protection of foreigners against fraud
Maryna
It is not uncommon for foreigners living in Japan to become victims of fraudsters. What measures should be taken in the future to protect foreigners?

It is important to understand that the victims are not only foreign students with a low level of Japanese knowledge, but also working adults who have lived in Japan for more than 10 years.

The scam mainly involves collecting personal information, such as credit card numbers, through phishing emails and SMS.

"A fake homepage was created pretending to be a contract company for a company I worked for and I was tempted to enter my credit card number." - explains one of the foreigners.

It would be useful to create educational resources to combat online crime. Moreover, in order to spread information effectively, it is necessary to use communication methods such as social networks (which are trusted by foreigners) and create videos in the native language of foreigners.
