■ Dispatch
派遣
Dispatch involves signing an employment contract with a dispatch company(派遣会社). Through the dispatch company, you will be introduced to work and training services. You will also receive a fee from the dispatch company. Also, the dispatch company will provide employee benefits (insurance etc.).
After being introduced and dispatched to a company, if you have any troubles about your job, you should not only consult with your boss or colleagues at the company where you were dispatched. You should also report this to the staff at the dispatch company. If there is a problem, the staff from the dispatching company and the staff from the company to which you were dispatched will discuss and resolve it.
It's a good system for people who aren't sure of what they want to do and want to try different jobs. You can work at the same company under the temporary dispatch system for up to three years.

■ Secondment
出向
Secondment is when a company sends its own employees to work at a subsidiary or affiliated company. Although your employment contract continues with your original company, you will also have an employment contract with the company to which you are transferred. Contracts between the original company and the company to which you are transferred, such as who will pay your own salary and how much, differ depending on the case.
The content of your work will be subject to instructions from your superior at the company you are seconded to. Terms and conditions such as working hours may change, so please listen carefully to the explanation when you receive instructions for secondment.
Some people have a bad impression of secondment, because it looks like you are sent to another place, because you are not suitable to work at the current company. However, there are various purposes for secondment:
- to provide support to affiliated companies by sending ample resources;
- to give employees work and experience that they cannot do at their own company;
- to help employees advance their careers, so do not be afraid of it!

■ Greetings
あいさつ
On the first day of work at the dispatch or secondment company, employees of the department should be greeted at morning meetings, etc. When introducing yourself, there is no need to speak for too long.
3年間、教師として仕事をしています。今年の5月までは、翻訳と通訳を担当します (I have been working as a teacher for three years. Until May of this year, I will be in charge of translation and interpretation)
Some people may have a lot of work experience and are confident. However, since you have zero experience in a new workplace, please remember that you will be taught new ways of working. At the end of your self-introduction, add something like,
いろいろ教えていただくこともあるかと思いますが、どうぞよろしくお願いいたします (I may ask you to tell me a lot of things, so thank you very much).

■ How to proceed
進み方
Whether you are dispatched or seconded, your boss at the place you are dispatched or seconded is the one who gives you instructions regarding your work. For this reason, we refrain from ideas such as:
以前はこういうやり方をしていたから、これでいい(This is how I used to do things, so this is fine)
If you feel that a method that you have previously experienced is better, suggest it to your boss at your current temporary or secondment company. No matter how good the instructions are, you must not change them without permission from the superior who gave the instructions.

■ How to spend your time
過ごし方
It's funny to learn a new job. Even if the work is the same, different companies have different ways of dealing, which can be confusing. However, experiencing a variety of workplaces is never a waste. By learning about many battlegrounds, you should be able to find better methods. However, just like working, learning can be difficult, so treat it as an opportunity and enjoy meeting new people.
