How to visit miyajima island from Hiroshima
Ekanshu
Miyajima Island is one of the most popular day trips from Hiroshima. It’s famous for the Itsukushima Shrine and the large red torii gate that looks like it floats on the sea.

To get there, first take a train from Hiroshima Station to Miyajimaguchi Station. You can use the JR Sanyo Line, and it takes about 25 minutes. From Miyajimaguchi, it’s only a short walk (about 5 minutes) to the ferry terminal.

There are two main ferry companies: JR Ferry and Matsudai Ferry. Both go to Miyajima and take about 10 minutes to cross. If you have a JR Pass, the JR Ferry is free to use.

Once you arrive on the island, you can visit Itsukushima Shrine, see the deer, try grilled oysters, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
